Best Workout Program
I have been working out for years and while there are some workouts that are better than others there is no one best workout program. However, again, that doesn't mean that there are better workouts than others. You see it all depends on what you are trying to achieve. If you want to build maximum strength I would recommend using a barbell and doing lots of squats, bench presses, dead lifts and the like. If you want to burn fat and build endurance then I would recommend using a kettlebell.
One thing is for certain though whatever your goal you want to do compound exercises that work multiple muscle groups at the same time. Stay away from machines and exercises that isolate specific muscles. This is because the muscles of your body were meant to work together. When you do these types of exercises you exert so much force that your body goes into a state of metabolic shock and burns calories at a higher rate long after the workout is over.
When designing the maximum strength workout that is best for you you will want to include things like dead lifts and squats, lunges and Romanian dead lifts. The bench press is also an essential lift and well as the military and clean and jerk. One lift that I have recently become fond of is also the one armed dumbbell snatch.
If you are designing a workout to burn fat and build endurance then you will want to use a kettlebell. There are hundreds or great exercises you can do with a kettlebell and they are all compound exercises. Some of my favorite include the Turkish get up, the cross over clean and press, the figure 8 and the swing snatch.
